Luevano was riding a 2-year-old filly named Fly From The Fire when the accident occurred. The incident took place on the backstretch of the course while they were warming up.Luevano, a 53-year-old rider, was on the ground when help arrived. He was then taken to Long Beach Medical Center, where he was unfortunately pronounced dead. The exact details of the incident remain unclear as there have been no eyewitness accounts reported.
Originally from Luis Moya in Zacatecas, Mexico, Luevano had a total of 33 mounts in the United States. He is survived by his wife, Marisela Martinez, their children Lisbet, Alfredo Jr., Alex, Aldo, and Camila, six grandchildren, and his father, Augustine.
