The New York Giants have given quarterback Daniel Jones a contract extension after a strong season. However, Jones has started the 2023 season with a neck injury and will miss the Week 8 matchup against the New York Jets. Tyrod Taylor will start at quarterback, having thrown for 479 yards and two touchdowns in his last two games. The Giants have only scored 14 points with Taylor, but the offense has been more efficient overall. The team is averaging more yards per game with Taylor at the helm, and he has yet to throw an interception this season. There are concerns about whether Jones will play again this season, as Coach Brian Daboll was noncommittal about his outlook.
