Arrr, me mateys! The tenth week o' the NFL season be bringin' joy to some and heartbreak to others, aye! Aye, C.J. Stroud and Joshua Dobbs be makin' history like true legends o' the high seas!
The 10th week of the 2023 NFL season had a clear theme: a win is a win. Several teams, including the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, and Seattle Seahawks, secured victories with game-winning field goals as time expired. This marked a historic moment in the league's history, with the most game-winning scores in a single week.Aside from these nail-biting finishes, there were other remarkable statistical highlights from Sunday's games. Houston Texans rookie C.J. Stroud led his team to victory for the second consecutive week with an impressive performance. He threw for 356 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, receiving support from running back Devin Singletary's 150 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown, as well as wide receiver Noah Brown's seven catches for 172 yards.
The Texans' achievement was the first time since 1998 that a team had a passer with at least 350 yards, a runner with at least 150 rushing yards, and a receiver with at least 150 yards. Minnesota Vikings quarterback Joshua Dobbs also made history by contributing to his team's conference win against the New Orleans Saints. In his first two games with the Vikings, he accumulated 426 passing yards, 110 rushing yards, and zero interceptions, becoming the first player in NFL history to achieve at least 400 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and no interceptions in his first two games with a team.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert showcased his skills in a high-scoring game against the Detroit Lions. Despite the 41-38 loss, Herbert threw for 323 yards and four touchdowns, surpassing Peyton Manning's record for the most passing yards by a player in his first four seasons in league history.
