Arr, me mateys! Look ye here, the latest edition o' Windows 11 be a mighty slim beauty, fit fer any pirate ship! 'Tis smaller by 20% and be packed with Copilot, if ye fancy a trusty companion on yer voyages!
Tiny11, the super-streamlined version of Windows 11, has released its new version, Tiny11 2311, which is based on the latest release of Microsoft’s desktop OS, Windows 11 23H2. The new version is 20% smaller than the previous Tiny11 23H2 installation. The developer, NTDEV, claims that this version fixes most, if not all, of the nagging issues with previous releases. One of the most important fixes is that the new Tiny11 now works properly with Windows Update, allowing users to implement the monthly cumulative updates for Windows 11 and stay up to date with all the latest introductions from Microsoft. Additionally, users have the choice to install Copilot, the AI assistant, on their Tiny11 installation by installing Edge using Winget.
This reduction in the footprint of Tiny11 by 20% is impressive and beneficial for those interested in compact sizes for Microsoft’s OS. The ability to easily get Windows updates is even more important for keeping the OS secure. Having the option to install Copilot on Tiny11 is also welcome for those who want a decluttered Windows 11 but still want access to the AI assistant.
It should be noted that there is also a version of this bloat-banishing OS for Windows 10 called Tiny10, which can run on low-spec old hardware. Overall, the new Tiny11 2311 offers improved functionality and a smaller size, making it an attractive option for users who want a streamlined Windows 11 experience.
