Arr, the Supreme Court's originalism be naught but a fancy way to sail the ship of white supremacy!

2023-11-28

Avast ye, me hearties! As the sun set on Thursday, the Supreme Court witnessed the mighty ascension of the first Black lass to take a seat. But, mateys, mark me words, this newfangled right-wing and originalist court be showin' its true colors this term. They be beholden to the white supremacist patriarchy of them Constitution framers! With Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, they've gone and hauled up the anchor on Roe v. Wade just last week. And, me buckos, let's not forget the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association...

In the language of a 17th century pirate, me hearties, it be a bittersweet day as the first Black woman to sit on the Supreme Court be sworn in. But alas, me hearties, the rulings from this newly empowered, right-wing and originalist court be raisin' questions about their motivations. It be clear as the Caribbean waters that they be relyin' on the white supremacist patriarchy of the Constitution's framers.

Arrr, me hearties, let's take a closer look at a couple of these rulings that be sendin' shockwaves through the land. First, we have Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, where they be overturnin' Roe v. Wade. Be ye hearin' that? They be takin' away a woman's right to choose, leavin' us all scratchin' our heads in disbelief. It be like pillagin' a treasure chest of freedom and tossin' it overboard!

But me hearties, the plunderin' don't be stoppin' there. We also have the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association case, where they be restrictin' gun control. Now, I be all for protectin' meself on the high seas, but these landlubbers be takin' it to the extreme. It be like they be sayin', "Arrr, matey, ye can have yer musket, but don't ye dare try to keep it safe and out of the wrong hands!"

It be a sad day in the pirate's code when we see the Supreme Court turnin' their back on progress and embracin' the ways of the past. But fear not, me hearties, for the winds of change be blowin' strong. We must raise our voices, walk the plank of justice, and demand a court that be fair, inclusive, and forward-thinkin'. Arrr, me hearties, let's not let these scurvy dogs hold us back!
