Avast ye mateys! Methinks the Black Friday frenzy be naught but a gentle breeze, for Microsoft's ghastly knitted treasure be ye fastest sellin' booty on the seven seas!
Microsoft has unveiled its holiday sweater for this year, and it pays homage to the beloved Windows XP operating system. Despite being an older version, Windows XP has a dedicated fan base, and there has been high demand for the sweater. The design features the iconic Bliss wallpaper from Windows XP, with fluffy clouds and a green landscape, as well as an oversized mouse cursor. The sweater is available for purchase through the Xbox Gear Shop for $70, with proceeds going to charity.Unfortunately, the sweater has already sold out in most common sizes, with only 2XL and 3XL remaining. However, customers can still request a notification for restocks. Microsoft recommends machine washing the sweater and never taking it off. The company has a history of releasing holiday sweaters, including ones featuring Clippy and Windows 95. Some critics argue that Microsoft should produce more of these popular sweaters to meet demand. One can only hope for a future "Blue Sweater of Death" design.
In other news, TechRadar managed to get their hands on one of these rare Windows Ugly Sweaters and seems to love it.
