In yonder Pac-12 swashbucklin' spectacle, the mighty Washington Huskies, ranked third, thwarted the valiant uprising o' the fifth-ranked Oregon scallywags. With this victory, they be crowned rulers o' the Pac-12 seas, and mayhaps, clinched a berth in the College Football Playoff, arrgh!

In a thrilling Pac-12 championship game, No. 3 Washington emerged victorious over No. 5 Oregon, securing their spot in the College Football Playoff. The Huskies dominated the first half, building a 17-point lead before the Ducks made a comeback. However, Washington managed to hold on and win the game 34-31.
Early in the game, Washington controlled the field, forcing Oregon to punt multiple times and limiting them to just 87 yards. However, the Ducks managed to score a touchdown before halftime, narrowing the deficit to 10 points. In the second half, Oregon continued to fight back, taking the lead with a touchdown run by Jordan James. Washington quickly responded, regaining the lead with another touchdown by Dillon Johnson.
The Huskies extended their lead in the fourth quarter with a touchdown pass from Penix to Quentin Moore. However, Oregon didn't give up and scored again with a 63-yard catch and run by Traeshon Holden. Despite their efforts, the Ducks' onside kick failed, and Washington sealed the victory.
In a battle of Heisman hopefuls, Penix had an impressive performance, completing 27 of his 39 passes for 319 yards. However, Johnson stole the show with 152 rushing yards and two touchdowns. On the losing side, Nix threw for three touchdowns but couldn't secure the win for Oregon.
With this loss, Oregon's chances of making it to the College Football Playoff are slim. On the other hand, Washington is likely to face No. 2 Michigan in the semifinals, marking their first appearance in the CFP since 2016. The official announcement will be made on Sunday.
