Arr! Avast, ye scallywags! The fearsome Dom DiSandro, head o' security for the Philadelphia Eagles, be banned from the Sunday night battle against them treacherous Dallas Cowboys! Aye, 'twas all 'cause o' a tussle with the likes o' Dre Greenlaw, a fine skirmish it were!
The Philadelphia Eagles will be without their head of security, Dom DiSandro, for their upcoming game against the Dallas Cowboys. DiSandro, known as "Big Dom," will be allowed to travel with the team but will not be on the sidelines due to an altercation he had with San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw in Week 13. The incident occurred when Greenlaw suplexed DeVonta Smith out of bounds and DiSandro stepped in between them. Greenlaw appeared to make contact with DiSandro's face, resulting in both of them being ejected from the game. The NFL is reviewing additional material to determine if further discipline is necessary. A few days after the incident, Greenlaw and DiSandro exchanged formal apologies through intermediaries. Both expressed regret over the situation and acknowledged DiSandro's positive reputation within the organization. San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan also stated that he had no hard feelings towards DiSandro and understood that he was caught in an emotional situation. The game between the Cowboys and Eagles will take place on Sunday night. It remains to be seen if any further consequences will arise from the altercation.
