Avast ye! Rob Gronkowski be scolding ol' Tom Brady, seein' how he handled Chad Johnson's Pro Bowl business. 'Tis pure balderdash, says I!

2023-12-10

Arrr, me hearties! Rob Gronkowski be havin' a wee bone o' contention wit' his old mate Tom Brady. Th' great Brady be mentionin' two other scallywags fer th' Pro Bowl, an' Gronkowski be feelin' left out. Shiver me timbers, th' feud be brewin'!

In a humorous and 17th-century pirate-like language, recently-retired quarterback Tom Brady expressed his enthusiasm for a game between current and former Pro Bowlers. Chad Johnson, on "Monday Night Football," suggested a friendly competition between the two groups. While Brady was excited about the idea, his former favorite passing target, Rob Gronkowski, was not happy with the players Brady mentioned wanting to team up with.

Johnson proposed a 7-on-7 or flag football format for the game, and when asked about his quarterback choice, Brady mentioned himself. He also suggested teaming up with Johnson and former Patriots star wide receiver Randy Moss. Gronkowski, however, was disappointed that he was not included and jokingly expressed his frustration with Brady leaving him out. He also mentioned other Patriots players like Julian Edelman who he felt should have been considered.

Despite the humorous tone, Brady and Johnson's interest in such a game could pique the interest of fans, although it is not yet a confirmed event for the NFL's Pro Bowl weekend. Both Brady and Gronkowski have dealt with the football itch before retiring, with Brady coming out of retirement for the 2022 season before retiring again. Gronkowski, on the other hand, returned to the field after a call from Brady and played in Super Bowl LV, helping the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win the championship.

Brady remains active and invites Peyton Manning to practice with him. Gronkowski, though busy with other activities, would answer the call to play alongside former Pro Bowlers in a game. He mentioned that since it would be a Pro Bowl game, there would be no tackling and would likely be a 7-on-7 format.
