2023-12-16
Arr, mateys! The scurvy dog Damontae Kazee got himself tossed from Saturday's skirmish against them landlubbers, the Indianapolis Colts. Ye see, he delivered a ferocious blow to the likes of Michael Pittman Jr., makin' the officials raise the Jolly Roger and send him off the plank, arrr!
In a terrifying turn of events at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Michael Pittman Jr. suffered an injury during a play. It all happened in the second quarter when Gardner Minshew attempted a pass to Pittman, who stretched out but couldn't quite reach the ball. Before he could land safely, a Pittsburgh Steelers' defensive back named Damontae Kazee delivered a powerful hit, leaving Pittman sprawled on the turf. Flags flew and players dropped to a knee, concerned for Pittman's well-being. Kazee was promptly ejected from the game. While replays revealed that he managed to avoid a helmet-to-helmet collision, Pittman still took a brutal hit near his head as an unsuspecting receiver. Although Pittman managed to walk off the field on his own, he was later diagnosed with a concussion and ruled out for the remainder of the game. This is not the first time Kazee has put himself and others in danger. In fact, he was recently fined $12,000 for a hit on the Cincinnati Bengals' Irv Smith, marking his fifth fine this season. Previous fines were issued for infractions such as "impermissible use of the helmet" and hits on defenseless receivers. It seems that Kazee may face even steeper penalties due to his repeated offenses. In 2021, he was fined for getting into a fight during a game. As of the time of publication, the Colts were leading the Steelers 14-13 at halftime.
