Arrrrr! The Miami Dolphins be blastin' those New York Jets yet again! Raheem Mostert, the swashbucklin' touchdown king of the NFL this year, be addin' two more tallies to his plunder!

In a humorous tone reminiscent of a 17th-century pirate, it was reported that Raheem Mostert scored two touchdowns, breaking Miami's single-season record with a total of 20. This accomplishment was made even more impressive considering their star receiver, Tyreek Hill, was absent from the game. Mostert's first touchdown came on a 2-yard run, putting the Dolphins ahead 7-0. This touchdown also marked his 17th rushing touchdown of the season, surpassing Ricky Williams' record set in 2002. Additionally, Mostert broke the team record for overall touchdowns, previously held by Mark Clayton in 1984.

Tua Tagovailoa had a solid performance, throwing for 224 yards and one touchdown pass to Jaylen Waddle. He completed an impressive 87.5% of his passes. Tagovailoa was replaced by Mike White in the fourth quarter with the Dolphins leading by 30 points.

The Jets' quarterback, Zach Wilson, had a tough day and left the game with a concussion in the second quarter. This contributed to the Jets being shut out for the first time since Week 3 of the 2021 season.

The loss, combined with wins by Houston and Cleveland, eliminated the Jets from playoff contention for the 13th consecutive season. It also diminished the chances of Aaron Rodgers returning this season, as he had stated that New York remaining in contention was a condition for his comeback.

Star receiver Tyreek Hill missed the game due to an ankle injury. His absence allowed Jaylen Waddle to shine, as he had a standout game with a season-high 142 yards receiving.

The Dolphins' defense was dominant, sacking Wilson four times and limiting the Jets to just 4 yards in the first half. This was the fewest yards allowed in the first half since 2015. With this victory, the Dolphins completed a season sweep of their division rivals, bouncing back from a loss against the Titans.
