Arrr, ye scurvy dogs! Microsoft Copilot be havin' a grand new AI tool that'll turn yer simple prompts into merry shanties!

Arrr, me hearties! The sunken crew of Copilot hath stumbled upon a wondrous treasure known as Suno plugin. It be lettin' us craft melodic shanties, but alas! It be plagued by some ghastly technical hiccups. Avast, we sail on, seekin' the fix to this cursed misfortune!
In a humorous twist, Microsoft Copilot has partnered with Suno to generate short-form songs with just a text prompt. This feature not only includes instrumentals but also fully fleshed-out lyrics and actual singing voices, all without requiring any pre-existing music-making skills. This technology is similar to Meta's MusicGen and Google's Instrument Playground, although Copilot uses a third-party AI model. To use the Suno plugin, users must launch Microsoft Edge and visit the Copilot website. After signing in, they can click on the Plugin tab to activate Suno. Once everything is set up, users can enter a text prompt into Copilot and wait for it to generate a song. However, in our experience, the AI took about ten minutes to create lyrics for a pop song but did not provide any audio. When prompted for another song, Copilot only generated lyrics and instructed us to imagine the melody or sing the words out loud.
While the performance of Copilot's music-generative AI is unknown, Suno's website showcases great audio quality, with surprisingly good vocal performances. It remains to be seen if Microsoft plans to expand this feature to other browsers. However, there were issues with the audio output that need to be addressed.
Overall, the Suno plugin for Microsoft Copilot has the potential to outshine its competitors in creating music content. Rollout of the plugin has already begun, and updates on the progress and any future developments will be provided. In the meantime, TechRadar has compiled a list of the best free music-making software in 2023.
