Avast ye, me hearties! The Michigan Supreme Court be havin' no interest in entertainin' an appeal to have the former Captain Donald Trump banned from the state's primary ballot. They be sayin' the questions be not worth their time, but ol' Justice Elizabeth Welch be arguin' that they should be weighin' in on the matter. Arrr, the seas be filled with political rumblings indeed!

In a decision that would make even the saltiest of sea dogs chuckle, the Michigan Supreme Court has denied an appeal that sought to have former President Donald Trump disqualified from the state's primary ballot. Arrr, aye, ye heard that right, mateys!
In their brief order, the court made it clear that they were not convinced that this matter was worth their time. They probably had bigger fish to fry, like sailing the treacherous seas of legal disputes. But one of the Democratic-nominated justices, Justice Elizabeth Welch, couldn't resist diving into the fray.
Justice Welch, bless her swashbuckling heart, argued in her dissent that it was indeed crucial for the court to weigh in on the question of Trump's eligibility. Perhaps she wanted to make sure that all the pirates of the seven seas understood the rules of the game, or maybe she just wanted to have a good laugh at the absurdity of it all.
But alas, the court, in all its wisdom, decided to let this matter sink to the depths of Davy Jones' locker. And so, it seems that Trump will be allowed to set sail on the primary ballot, much to the chagrin of his opponents.
Whether you be a Trump supporter or a scallywag who's had enough of his antics, it's clear that this decision has left many scratching their heads. Arrr, the legal waters can be murky indeed!
So, me hearties, let's raise a glass to the Michigan Supreme Court for making us chuckle with their decision. And let's hope that this tale of Trump's eligibility will have a happy ending, or at least a few more laughs along the way.
