France highlighted Yarborough's talent, determination, and grit, which set him apart from his peers both on and off the track. He also mentioned Yarborough's versatility, noting that he was as comfortable driving a tractor as he was driving a stock car. The NASCAR family also expressed their condolences, mourning the loss of Yarborough, who had an impressive career with 83 wins and 319 top 10 finishes. Notably, he is one of only two drivers in NASCAR history to have won three consecutive championships. Yarborough's achievements include four Daytona 500 victories and holding the record for the most poles in a season with 14. He was named one of NASCAR's 50 greatest drivers in 1999 and was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2012. Yarborough, a South Carolina native, raced in NASCAR from 1957 to 1988.
