In 2024, Google is set to enhance its Google Assistant with Google Bard features, combining the two tools to create a generative AI search powerhouse. This development is part of Google's plan to integrate AI across all its products and services. While there is no confirmed release date for Assistant with Bard, images and videos shared by 9to5Google give us a glimpse of how it will look and function.According to 9to5Google, Assistant with Bard may replace Google Assistant altogether on Google and Android devices. Users will likely access the new AI in the same way as Google Assistant, either by commanding "Hey Google" or long-pressing the power button. The Discover page in the Google search app seems to have received a Bard integration in the form of a slider toggle, allowing users to switch between a standard Google search and the AI chatbot.
Other images show a pop-up that appears when Assistant with Bard is enabled, providing options to ask questions through talking, typing, or sharing photos. Google showcased this design during its October event when it unveiled the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
Although Assistant with Bard is not yet available, the rollout of Google's next AI development seems imminent based on the images shared by 9to5Google.
Overall, Google's advancements in AI are transforming the user experience and interaction with its apps and services. With AI tools already integrated into Gmail, YouTube, and Google Docs, the integration of Google Bard and Google Assistant marks a significant step towards AI integration across all Google products and services.
