Jimmy Kimmel be afeared not the jibes from Aaron Rodgers, the NFL scallywag who dared make a Jeffrey Epstein jest about the jester himself! Kimmel, with the wit of a thousand sailors, didst ye olde retort upon his show!
In a humorous tone, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel fired back at Aaron Rodgers after the New York Jets quarterback took a dig at Kimmel for being nervous about the Jeffrey Epstein client list. Kimmel's name was not mentioned in the released documents, leading Rodgers' comment to be based on Kimmel's previous jokes about the Epstein list and UFO stories. Kimmel, initially threatening a lawsuit against Rodgers, denied any connection to Epstein and called Rodgers a "whack Packer." Kimmel criticized Rodgers for his high opinion of himself and his belief that he is smarter than everyone else because of his success on the football field. Kimmel mocked Rodgers' lack of formal education and accused him of thinking he knows more about science and the government because he does research on YouTube and listens to podcasts. Kimmel diagnosed Rodgers with the Dunning-Kruger effect, a cognitive bias where people overestimate their abilities in a particular domain. Kimmel supported Rodgers' right to free speech but drew the line at insinuations of pedophilia. He challenged Rodgers to apologize, although he believed the quarterback probably wouldn't do so. Rodgers is set to appear on the "Pat McAfee Show" where he may respond to the drama surrounding his remarks.
