OpenAI has launched its GPT Store, where select users and official partners can share customized chatbots with the community. However, the platform is not available to the wider public and is only accessible to those with a subscription to ChatGPT Plus, Enterprise, or the Teams plan. The GPT Store offers a variety of GPTs in categories such as writing, programming, art generation, and even lifestyle advice. The store was originally announced in November but faced delays, possibly due to the CEO's ousting and reinstatement.

Although the average person cannot try out the chatbots, they can visit the store's page to see what is available. Currently, four GPTs are being highlighted: AllTrails, Consensus, Code Tutor, and Books. AllTrails suggests nature trails, Consensus has access to academic papers, Code Tutor provides suggestions for improving computer code, and Books presumably offers book recommendations. The GPT Store also features trending chatbots and those made by OpenAI's internal team.

OpenAI plans to implement a revenue program in Q1 2024, allowing creators to make money from their chatbot creations. To create a GPT, subscribers do not need coding skills but must follow usage policies and brand guidelines. OpenAI has strict rules against compromising privacy, impairing well-being, and spreading misinformation. Users who break these rules may face restrictions on sharing or monetizing their work. Creators can share their chatbots on the storefront by saving their GPT and selecting "Everyone" for access.

OpenAI encourages users to report any rule-breaking chatbots they come across. In addition, TechRadar provides seven tips for ChatGPT beginners. Overall, the GPT Store offers a unique opportunity for users to share and access customized chatbots, while OpenAI aims to maintain a clean and responsible platform.
