The game was originally scheduled for Sunday at 1:00 pm. Hochul also announced a full travel ban in Erie County starting at 9:00 pm on Saturday night. The NFL confirmed the rescheduling in a press release, stating that the decision was made in consultation with Governor Kathy Hochul, prioritizing public safety. The Buffalo area is under a winter storm warning, with significant snowfall expected. The Bills have been performing well, winning five consecutive games and clinching the AFC East by defeating the Miami Dolphins in Week 18. The Steelers finished the regular season with a record of 10-7 and won their last three games. The Bills-Steelers game will be the first of two games on Monday, with the Philadelphia Eagles playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 8:15 pm. ET.
