Arrr! The lassies of TCU be walkin' the plank, as they be havin' a shortage o' crew in their basketball ship! No matchin' in the conference, they surrender fair and square, aye, 'tis a sad tale indeed!

The TCU women's basketball program has been forced to forfeit their next two games due to a lack of healthy players. This means they will not be able to field a full roster for these conference matchups against No. 7 Kansas State and No. 24 Iowa State. The university explained that injuries within the TCU program have led to this roster shortage, and their main priority is to ensure the health and safety of their student-athletes.

The team expressed their disappointment, with the official account of the women's basketball program stating, "Heartbroken for our players and fans. We will come back stronger from this." While these forfeits will not impact the team's overall record, they will affect their conference win-loss record.

Unfortunately, the games will not be rescheduled and both Kansas State and Iowa State will be credited with a victory. TCU currently has a season record of 14-4 and a conference record of 1-4, which will soon become 1-6.

The team also suffered a significant injury, as point guard Jaden Owens tore her anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in her right knee during a game against Houston. As a result, she will miss the remainder of the season.

For those who had tickets to the forfeited games, TCU announced that they could exchange them for future contests. It is unfortunate that the team is facing such challenges, but they are determined to bounce back and continue their season.
