Apple is adjusting the opening hours of its physical stores in preparation for the launch of the Apple Vision Pro on February 2, 2024. This change will only affect certain stores and will only be temporary. If you plan on visiting an Apple Store in the next few weeks, it is recommended to check the official Apple website for any temporary hour changes. On January 21, all stores will close at 6pm local time, giving employees time to be trained on the new hardware. Stores that usually close at 6pm on Sundays will not be affected. On February 2, stores will open at 8am to allow customers to sign up for in-store Vision Pro demos. This is two hours earlier than the usual opening time. Demos will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The Vision Pro demonstrations will run from February 2 to February 4, but it is unclear if the other two dates will also have early opening hours. Preorders for the Vision Pro can be made on the official Apple Store page starting at 5am PT / 8am ET on January 19, 2024. It is important to note that Apple is the only authorized seller of the Vision Pro, and scammers may try to sell fake versions of the headset.
Also, in related news, early testers of the Apple Vision Pro have complained about the weight of the headset, and there have been deep dive articles exploring its features and capabilities. Additionally, Vision Pro has partnered with Disney Plus to bring 3D movies into the home.
