Arrr, me hearties! Hyundai hath created a fine electric air taxi, fit fer four passengers and a pilot. This wondrous contraption be as quiet as a whisperin' lass, not louder than a scurvy dishwasher!
Supernal, the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) company backed by Hyundai Motor Group, has developed the S-A2, an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicle that aims to revolutionize urban travel. The S-A2 can carry up to four passengers and a pilot, fly between 25 and 40 miles on a single charge, and reach speeds of over 120 mph. It can also fly at an altitude of 1,500 feet and produces minimal noise. The vehicle's eight tilting rotors allow for vertical takeoff and landing like a helicopter, as well as horizontal flight like a plane. This design provides flexibility, redundancy, and increased efficiency. The S-A2 is powered by all-electric motors, resulting in zero in-flight emissions and reduced noise levels. Safety is a top priority, and the vehicle meets global aviation safety standards and is certified for Instrument Flight Rules. Supernal is working towards achieving the highest standards of aviation safety and lowering production costs before launching the S-A2 in 2028. The S-A2 offers numerous advantages over traditional modes of transportation, including speed, reliability, and environmental friendliness. It has the potential to be the future of urban mobility.
