Avast, ye scurvy dogs! Methinks the placekicker, Tyler Bass, be vanished from the realm of social media after garnering death threats. Aye, 'twas all 'cause o' his mighty field goal in the divisional round game of the Buffalo Buccaneers. Arrr, such be the perils of bein' a swashbucklin' sportsman!

In a heartwarming response to the threats and harassment faced by Bills placekicker Tyler Bass following his missed kick in the playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Bills fans, known as "Bills Mafia," have rallied together and raised over $50,000 for a cat shelter. Bass had attempted a 44-yard field goal that could have tied the game, but unfortunately, the Bills went on to lose 27-24.

After the loss, fans noticed that Bass' Twitter account appeared to be deactivated, and his Instagram account was also down. This led to further concern and support from the Bills Mafia, who decided to show their solidarity by donating to Ten Lives Club, a shelter that rescues cats and for which Bass is a brand ambassador.

By Monday, over 600 individuals had donated a total of $14,760, and by Tuesday, the donations had increased to over $50,000. Some fans even donated $22 in honor of Bass' jersey number. Ten Lives Club expressed their support for Bass and condemned the bullying he had faced, stating that he didn't deserve any of the hate and highlighting his contributions to both football and animal welfare.

This missed field goal brought back memories of former Bills kicker Scott Norwood's infamous missed kick in Super Bowl XXV. It was also the third time in the last four years that the Kansas City Chiefs had eliminated the Buffalo Bills from the playoffs.

Overall, the Bills Mafia's response to Bass' missed kick has shown their unity and support for their team and players, even in the face of adversity.
