Aye, me hearties! 'Tis been whispered in the winds that Vince McMahon be settin' sail from WWE and its parent company, TKO. The news comes from a trusty source, savvy? Avast ye, me mateys, there be changes afoot in these treacherous waters!
Days after being accused of sex trafficking and sexual abuse, Vince McMahon has resigned from all his roles at WWE and its parent company, TKO. McMahon released a statement denying the allegations and vowing to defend himself. However, he decided to step down out of respect for the WWE Universe, TKO's board members and shareholders, partners and constituents, and all the employees and superstars who have contributed to the company's success. McMahon's resignation comes after a lawsuit was filed against him in Connecticut by Janel Grant, who claimed in a 67-page complaint that McMahon lured her into the company with promises of a successful career, only to sexually exploit her and involve her with his "friends" between 2019 and 2022. The lawsuit alleges that Grant signed a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) in 2022, but she continued to be harassed despite the agreement. The lawsuit seeks to void the NDA and obtain compensatory damages. Grant joined WWE in 2019, following the death of her parents, and her initial meeting with McMahon marked the beginning of a three-year nightmare. The lawsuit includes disturbing allegations, such as McMahon defecating on the plaintiff during a threesome and causing injuries with sex toys. McMahon's spokesperson has called the lawsuit a distortion of the truth and stated that he will vigorously defend himself. McMahon has been a key figure in WWE's success since purchasing the company in 1982.
