The first preorders for the Apple Vision Pro are soon to be delivered, but Apple has plans to make the headsets respond to the wearer's posture. A newly published patent describes "tiered posture awareness" to adjust the virtual environment and audio effects based on the user's posture. The patent also mentions calculating the strain the headset puts on the wearer's body to warn them if their posture is causing too much strain.Preorders for the Apple Vision Pro are open now

While there's no guarantee that these ideas will be implemented, they provide insight into Apple's engineers' thinking. In hands-on testing with the Apple Vision Pro, no head or neck strain has been noticed so far. The described features could potentially be delivered via a software update or saved for future versions of the headset. Apple hopes for more app developers to release dedicated versions of their apps for the Vision Pro in the future, as some are currently holding back due to its limited mainstream availability.
