Avast, me hearties! Word be spreadin' that Intel's mighty Battlemage graphics cards may be matchin' the prowess o' Nvidia's RTX 4070, if ye be believin' them leaks. Aye, prepare to set sail on a voyage o' graphical grandeur!
There has been a lot of talk about Intel's next-gen Battlemage graphics card in the tech world since 2021, but now we have more information thanks to leaks. According to a video from Tom of Moore's Law is Dead, the Battlemage may only be available as a discrete graphics card and not for laptops. The leaks also suggest some specs, including a 5nm process node and up to 512 Execution Units. There might be different versions of the Battlemage, with one flagship model having 16GB of VRAM on a 256-bit memory bus. There could also be lower-end versions with less VRAM and fewer Execution Units. The leaks suggest that the Battlemage could be 30% faster than previous models and on par with Nvidia's RTX 4070 Super.
It's interesting to see Intel developing its graphics card line, and if the rumors are true, the Battlemage series could be a real force in the market. Intel could potentially offer more budget-friendly options compared to Nvidia, which buyers often value. While there were rumors of Intel ditching the Battlemage, recent reports suggest that the graphics cards are well into development.
If Intel promotes and launches this line of graphics cards better than it did with the Arc Alchemist release, it could have a real hit on its hands. Overall, the Battlemage series has the potential to be another winner for Intel in the graphics card market.
