Smart frame brand Skylight is launching a new 27-inch calendar monitor called the Calendar Max, or Cal Max for short. It has a higher resolution than previous models, with a Quad HD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The screen can be placed horizontally or vertically thanks to Portrait Mode, and it has an anti-glare coating for viewability in direct sunlight.The Cal Max has interchangeable frames, including plastic frames in black or white and an aluminum Shadow Box frame in charcoal gray or metallic finish. However, there is no option to buy multiple frames at once or separately.
The monitor has all the features of previous models, including the ability to display events from multiple calendar services, create events directly on the device or via the mobile app, and assign events to specific household members. It also has specialized tools such as a Chore Chart for gamifying chores, Customized Views for switching between daily, weekly, or monthly views, and Sleep Mode for scheduling display on/off times. Additionally, it has 32GB of storage and two four-watt speakers.
The Calendar Max monitor is currently available for pre-order in the US, with prices ranging from $599.99 to $629.99 depending on the frame chosen. Orders will ship in June, and reservations can be made with a $100 deposit. There are no plans for an international launch at this time.
