Arr, me hearties! The fine NFL quarterbac', Teddy Bridgewater, be hangin' up his mighty cleats and donnin' a swashbucklin' headset. He be settlin' in as the head coach at his ol' high school, ready t' teach those young buccaneers the art o' the pigskin.

Longtime NFL quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has retired from the league but has not quit the game altogether. Bridgewater, who recently served as Jared Goff's backup and made it to the NFC championship game, has been announced as the new head coach at his alma mater, Miami Northwestern Senior High School. The Florida high school made the hiring announcement on social media. Bridgewater has always stayed connected to the program and has already started meeting with players and coaches. The school's athletic director, Andre Williams, mentioned that Bridgewater has never really left the school, always working out with the young men and sharing his knowledge of the game. Bridgewater's appointment as head coach doesn't come as a surprise, as he previously stated his intention to retire from the NFL after this season with the Detroit Lions and expressed his interest in coaching a high school program. Williams said that Bridgewater is a humble young man who rarely shows his emotions, but he could tell he was extremely excited about the opportunity. Bridgewater played quarterback for Miami Northwestern from 2008-2010, leading them to the state finals, and was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2014.
