Arrr, word be spreadin' that Jim Harbaugh be joinin' forces once again with his ol' mate, Greg Roman! They be sailin' together afore at Stanford and the San Francisco 49ers. Aye, a reunion fit fer swashbucklin' legends!

Jim Harbaugh is expected to bring in his close friend, Greg Roman, to join his coaching staff with the Los Angeles Chargers. The exact position that Roman will hold is still being worked out, but it is expected to be a prominent one. This reunion between Harbaugh and Roman is not surprising, as they have a long history together.
Roman served as the associate head coach to Harbaugh at Stanford and then followed him to the San Francisco 49ers, where he served as the offensive coordinator from 2011 to 2014. The 49ers had great success during those years, reaching multiple NFC Championship Games and making it to the Super Bowl in 2012. That Super Bowl was particularly noteworthy as it pitted the Harbaugh brothers against each other, with John's Ravens ultimately coming out on top.
After Harbaugh left for the University of Michigan, Roman remained in the NFL and had stints with the Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, and Houston Texans. He then reunited with John Harbaugh as the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens in 2019.
Now, Roman is set to join Jim Harbaugh once again, this time with the Chargers. The team's offense, led by Justin Herbert, has the potential to thrive under Harbaugh's guidance, and bringing in experienced offensive-minded coaches like Roman will only help in their development.
With the hiring of Roman, Harbaugh is steadily building his coaching staff as he prepares for his NFL return. He already has Joe Hortiz as his new general manager, and with the addition of Roman, it seems that the Chargers are serious about kicking off the Harbaugh Era in the right way.
