Avast ye, me hearties! Apple's Vision Pro be gettin' a beta update that be improvin' its Personas, and lendin' ye a hand if ye be forgettin' yer passcode. Aye, 'tis a mighty fine update, me mateys!
The Apple Vision Pro, one of the best VR headsets on the market, has received criticism since its launch. However, Apple is now addressing two major issues with an update to the device's visionOS operating system. The first issue involves the "Personas" feature for video calls. The headset digitally removes itself from the call, but many found the results to be creepy and unsettling. The update improves the Personas, making them more comfortable for users. After installing the visionOS 1.1 beta update, users can rescan their Persona for the latest appearance updates. Apple acknowledges that Personas are still in beta and hopes to continue improving them over time.In addition to improving Personas, the visionOS 1.1 beta update also solves the problem of forgetting the headset's passcode. Previously, users had to bring their Vision Pro into an Apple Store to reset the passcode. However, with the update, users can now erase all content on the headset if they forget the passcode, allowing them to create a new one. Activation Lock requires users to enter their Apple ID password to reactivate the device after the reset.
These changes are welcome improvements to the Vision Pro. Hopefully, they are the beginning of Apple addressing other issues and missing features to make the device even better.
