Arrr, me mateys! The mighty Vision Pro by Apple boasts o'er 1,000 apps to plunder, but alas! It be locked in a fierce battle with the treacherous App Store troubles. Aye, even the mightiest ships be plagued by these scurvy issues!

Apple Vision Pro has surpassed initial estimates and now offers over 1,000 native apps, according to Appleā€™s Senior Vice President of Marketing Greg Joswiak. These apps are specifically designed for the headset, making use of its features and format. Additionally, there are over 1.5 million compatible apps available. However, despite the encouraging numbers, there are still challenges with app discovery and downloading on the Vision Pro.
Prior to the launch, there were concerns about the number of native apps available for the headset. On the day before the launch, the App Store was said to have around 600 apps, more than the original iPhone but less than the first iPad. While developers are optimistic about the long-term future of app development for the Vision Pro, they are currently facing difficulties with low download numbers and app discovery. The search function on the App Store needs improvement and popular downloads should be clearer to find.
Furthermore, developers have reported issues with Apple's App Store analytics system on the Vision Pro, including bugs, technical issues, and a lack of transparency. It is unclear where their apps' downloads are coming from. It is possible that users are primarily focused on exploring the built-in apps and features of the headset, rather than downloading additional apps.
In our own experience with the Vision Pro, we found app compatibility to be hit and miss, but overall the experience was often magical. Despite the challenges, developers and users alike are hopeful that the app situation will improve as the device gains popularity.
