Arr, me hearties! Avast ye! The latest treasure, Moment 5, be in its final trial. The whispers be true, for it shall set sail in February, bringin' joy to all ye landlubbers!

Windows 11's next feature update, known as Moment 5, seems to be imminent as a test build has arrived in the Release Preview channel. This is the final test channel before the release version of Windows 11. The preview build includes various improvements, but it is a relatively minor update compared to a Moment update. Some changes include moving the Copilot button to the right of the taskbar and enhancing the Snipping Tool for editing photos from Android smartphones on the desktop. There are also bug fixes and changes coming from a separate February Windows Configuration Update.
The accompanying KB5035349 update focuses on enhancing the Voice Access feature, allowing users to implement custom commands, open apps, and interact with elements on the desktop. It also provides support for multiple monitors and additional languages. Other changes include improvements to the Nearby Share feature and the ability to share via WhatsApp in the Windows share panel. The Snap Layouts feature now offers intelligent suggestions for snapping windows together.
However, the bigger changes with Moment 5 are only available to Windows 11 users in the European Economic Area (EEA) due to regulations. These changes allow users to remove the Edge browser and Bing from the search box in the taskbar. The finished version of Moment 5 is expected to be released in late February, with the full rollout starting in March. The global update everyone is waiting for is Windows 11 24H2, confirmed by Microsoft as the next major update.
Overall, while Moment 5 brings some improvements and fixes, the major changes are limited to users in the EEA. The update aims to comply with regulations and provide more customization options for users in that region.
