Arr, me hearties! Listen up, WhatsApp be rollin' out some fancy new tools to help ye manage them long walls of text in group chats. To trigger these new text formats, ye need to enter a certain punctuation mark, followed by a space, and then the words themselves. Use hyphens for a bullet list, and numerals for a numbered list. Ye can even make block quotes and inline code with a few keystrokes. If ye do it right, yer messages will be reformatted to yer liking, if not, ye'll just see a bunch of random punctuations.In total, users now have eight different ways to spruce up their conversations, including bold, italic, strikethrough, and monospace. Meta announced the update but forgot to mention some finer details. These features are available in one-on-one chat rooms and on the platform’s Channels. The tools are available on WhatsApp for Android, iOS, Mac, and web browsers, but strangely not on the Windows desktop app. We reached out to Meta for more information on a Windows release.
