Arr me hearties! The copilot be gettin' a new fancy upgrade fer Windows 11 and Edge! Now ye can have yer documents read and summarized fer ye! No need to strain yer brain with all them words, let the copilot do the work fer ye! Arrr!
Microsoft has introduced a new feature for its Copilot AI assistant in Windows that allows the bot to read files on your PC, provide summaries, locate data, and search the internet for more information. While this may raise privacy concerns, users have to manually select files for Copilot to analyze, ensuring some level of control. As a Copilot critic, I've never seen the value of an AI assistant in my operating system, but this new feature for summarizing documents could be genuinely useful. Copilot can also assist with web searches and is capable of reading various file types. Unfortunately, it cannot scan for viruses yet. This feature is gradually being rolled out to Windows 11 users and will also be available in the Edge browser. Users can sign up for the Edge Insider Program to access this new capability. Overall, Copilot's new skill set seems promising and could be a valuable tool for many users.
