Avast ye, me hearties! Windows 11 users be rejoicin' as Microsoft be lessenin' the naggin' about their Edge browser. Arrr, there be some major changes comin' in, especially for our mates in Europe – but we'll circle back to that later.Aye, due to the Digital Markets Act, changes be afoot for all Windows 11 users. No more pop-ups promotin' Edge when ye switch to Chrome or Firefox. And Edge no longer be sittin' pretty at the top of the default browser list as a 'Featured app' – fair winds be blowin' fer browser options.This shift be part of the February preview update, now rollin' out in March. Small steps, but aye, any move toward fair play in browser choice be welcome – though it should have been that way from the start.But the biggest boon be fer our mates in Europe – they can uninstall Edge entirely with a click, thanks to the Moment 5 update. Bing can walk the plank too, for those lucky scallywags. Will such freedom ever reach beyond Europe?
