Arrr mateys, ye hear ye! The scallywags be sayin' that the Windows Speech Recognition be walkin' the plank later this year. But fear not, me hearties! Aye, 'tis nothin' to make ye shake in yer boots. Carry on with yer pillagin' and plunderin'!
Avast ye, mateys! Listen up, for Windows 11 be making a change to its voice functionality. The old system, Windows Speech Recognition (WSR), be walkin' the plank and be replaced by the new Voice Access feature come September 2024. This change be startin' in that month, so it may take some time for all Windows 11 PCs to see the new feature. But here be the rub, me hearties. This change be for Windows 11 22H2 and 23H2 users only. Those sailin' on Windows 11 21H2 be keepin' WSR aboard their system. Windows 10 users, fear not, for ye still be havin' WSR, as Voice Access be exclusive to Windows 11.This move be no surprise, as Microsoft already removed WSR from preview builds in 2023. The transition from WSR to Voice Access be smooth sailin', as the new feature be superior in every way. The only concern be language support, but Voice Access be addin' more languages with each update. Those still anchored on Windows 11 21H2 may stick with WSR, but most users be sailin' to newer versions. Windows 10 users be stickin' with WSR as their only option, but it won't be gettin' any more updates. So set yer sails for Voice Access, me hearties, and enjoy the new features it brings.
