Arrr mateys, beware the treacherous bug in macOS Sonoma 14.4! It be pillaging and plundering users' precious saved files like a scurvy dog on the high seas. Ye best be savin' yer booty elsewhere afore it be swashbuckled away!
The latest update for macOS Sonoma be cursed with yet another bug, this time causing mayhem for users' saved treasures in iCloud Drive. Arrr, normally, when ye save files within yer iCloud Drive all the different versions of that booty will be saved for future reference. So, if ye be workin' on a grand project or assignment, ye can look through all the versions of yer treasure if ye need to.This be the case even when ye remove a file from the drive; the past versions of it will still be available to ye if and when ye need them. Unfortunately for some swashbucklers, this new bug erases all the previous saved versions when a file is removed from the iCloud Drive - which could mean all yer work be gone.If ye be worryin' about yer own saved treasures, fear not! Ye can try and fend off the potential threat by either not updating yer operating system to macOS 14.4 or disabling the ‘Optimise Mac Storage’ setting. This way, yer treasures won’t be booted off iCloud Drive and neither will any previous saved versions. This bug be merely the latest problem to plague the macOS Sonoma 14.4 update, so ye best be careful if ye’ve already updated to the latest version of Sonoma. So far there haven’t been numerous reports of the bug, which means it may not be a widespread issue just yet. We’ve yet to hear any word from Apple regarding these bugs, but if Apple hasn’t spoken yet, that’s a good sign that this be a minor issue that will likely be quickly resolved in a further update.
