Avast ye, me hearties! Spotify Premium users be rejoicin' as the music platform be addin' a new 'miniplayer' for its desktop app to improve yer experience - a whole three years after the web app got a similar feature. This new miniplayer be havin' two different designs and can be activated in the bottom right corner of the full-screen player, makin' the app shrink into a minimized view showin' media controls and song information. This be the first time this feature be available for the desktop version of the app.The new miniplayer be available for Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS, and be similar to miniplayers in other apps like Apple Music. Some sea dogs have been so desperate for this feature that they've made their own versions, with many user-created apps available on GitHub.Before this addition, a small preview box with media controls would appear when Spotify be minimized. This update be beneficial for those who have Spotify runnin' in the background while doin' other activities on their PCs, as it allows for easier control of the player without interruptin' yer tasks. To use the feature, open yer Spotify desktop app, start playin' some content, and click the miniplayer icon. The feature be currently only available to Spotify Premium users, so ye may need to subscribe to enjoy it fully. Hopefully, Spotify be continuin' to listen to user feedback and addin' features that be truly helpful to us music-loving pirates!
