Arr, this change be a mighty one for the 'All apps' panel if it be comin' to pass - but fear not me hearties, for there be still a long voyage ahead before we reach our treasure!
Avast ye, mateys! It be said that Microsoft be makin' some changes to the Start menu in Windows 11. A scallywag go by the name of PhantomOfEarth be leakin' this information, showin' that the 'All apps' panel might be gettin' a whole new layout. Instead o' the current long list of apps in alphabetical order, there be talks of switchin' to a grid-style layout with icons. This change be hidden in testin' for now, and it be found by diggin' around in a preview build of Windows 11. This new grid layout would allow ye to see more apps at once, but some may find it too busy compared to the neat alphabetical list. There be even talk of it lookin' like Windows 10X, which might not be a good thing for some.
Only time will tell if this change be comin' to Windows 11 for good or if it be walkin' the plank. If it does set sail, it might be part o' the Windows 11 24H2 update later this year. So keep a weather eye on the horizon for more news on this grid-style Start menu, me hearties!
