Avast ye mateys! A pro-Israel ad be raisin' a ruckus, drawin' the ire of landlubbers to the FCC. 'Twas the shoutin' for "all the dads held in captivity by Hamas" that stirred the pot during the Super Bowl. Aye, the seas be rough with complaints on this one! Arrr!
An advertisement funded by Israel aired during Super Bowl LVIII in February, drawing the most FCC complaints, as reported by TMZ. The ad titled "Bring All Dads Back Home" upset viewers as it addressed dads held captive by Hamas for over 120 days. Complaints alleged that CBS failed to disclose that the ad was paid for by the Israeli government. The Arab-American group ADC provided a way for concerned citizens to file complaints directly with the FCC. Tens of thousands demanded action from the FCC over the ad, with the ADC emphasizing the importance of informing the public about foreign government-funded ads. The Israeli military stated that over 130 hostages remain in Gaza, with six being American. Talks for their release stalled despite efforts from the U.S., Qatar, and Egypt. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stressed the need for a cease-fire to facilitate hostage release and humanitarian aid. The FCC did not comment on the matter, and the situation remains unresolved.Follow Fox News Digital’s sports coverage on X and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.
