Avast ye, ye scurvy Windows 11 dogs! Brace yerselves for the Start menu ads, but fear not, there be a way out! Arrr!

Arrr mateys! Microsoft be addin' scurvy ads to the Start Menu in their new Windows 11 update. The scallywags be talkin' 'bout their pushy marketin' tactics and how it be ruinin' the user experience. Aye, they be walkin' the plank with this one!
In the language of a 17th century pirate, Microsoft be pushin' its luck with its users, as they just dropped an optional Windows 11 update (KB5036980) that adds more adverts to the Start Menu - a move that ain't sittin' well with many folks. This update be available for them runnin' Windows 11 version 23H2 and 22H2, in Windows Update or from the Update Catalog. If ye be wantin' to install the update through Windows Update, follow these steps: Go to Settings > Windows Update, click ‘Check for updates,’ then click ‘Download & Install.’ The patch be known as “2024-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5036980).”This optional update be stirrin' up trouble by bringin' ads to the Start Menu for all hands to see. The update be includin' app recommendations too, showin' promoted apps as adverts. The move also adds a new taskbar widget icon and more lock screen management options. I don’t be likin' this move from Microsoft, as it may cause ill will with users, but at least ye can turn off the ads. Microsoft be testin' puttin' Xbox Game Pass ads in the Settings app too, which some be findin' intrusive and disruptive. I be hopin' Microsoft reconsiders this decision, as Windows 11 be turnin' into another place where ye can’t escape advertisements - and I be sure I ain’t the only one feelin' this way.
