Arrr, me hearties! Tony Khan, a swashbucklin' Jaguars executive and Chief Executive Officer of All Elite Wrestling, got himself a good ol' piledriver on Wednesday's "Dynamite" just hours before the NFL Draft. Ye can bet he be feelin' a bit rough in the mornin'!
Before Tony Khan joined the Jacksonville Jaguars NFL Draft war room on Thursday night, he was involved in an angle on All Elite Wrestling’s "Dynamite." Khan, the chief football strategy officer for the Jaguars and son of billionaire team owner Shad Khan, appeared in the ring to welcome Jack Perry back to the promotion.Perry, son of the late actor Luke Perry, had been out of AEW following a backstage incident with CM Punk. Perry returned to help Matthew and Nicholas Jackson in the AEW Tag-Team Championship. Tony Khan, who hadn’t been in any in-ring angles since founding AEW in 2019, was asked by Perry to reinstate him. After shaking hands, Perry struck Khan in the stomach, leading to a chaotic scene involving The Elite faction. The crowd booed as Khan was piledriven by the Jacksons. Now, Khan must shift his focus to the upcoming NFL Draft, where Jacksonville holds the No. 17 pick and several other selections in later rounds.Despite the unexpected turn of events in AEW, Khan will have to stay sharp for the draft, ensuring the Jaguars make the best choices for the team’s future success.
