Arrr mateys! When the New York Jets set sail on their OTAs, old seadog Aaron Rodgers be free from the grip of his cursed Achilles injury, ready to plunder the gridiron once more. Let the cannons roar and the grog flow!
On Saturday, May 11, it will be eight moons since the New York Jets' quarterback Aaron Rodgers ruptured his Achilles. But fear not, mateys, for when the OTAs start nine days later, he will be a full-go, says Jets head coach Robert Saleh. Arrr, according to Saleh, the four-time MVP will have "no restrictions" once the practices begin on May 20. Phase three will see Rodgers slingin' it during 11-on-11 non-contact drills over a span of four weeks. Saleh be talkin' about the trajectory on which Rodgers be goin', sayin' there be no issues with his rehab. Even in November, Rodgers was back on the practice field, showin' no fear of re-injury. But alas, the Jets' fortunes did not improve, and they decided to keep him out for the season. The Jets be finishin' 7-10, missin' the playoffs for the 13th year in a row.So, me hearties, keep an eye on the horizon for Rodgers to return to the field once more, and mayhaps lead the Jets to glory in the seasons to come. Arrr!
