Mayhaps 'tis just me bloated ego speakin', but I be thinkin' I should always ace the Strands puzzle. Aye, ye can brute force it, playin' words till they turn blue (or yellow), and never touch a hint. But time be precious, and after a half hour of fruitless searchin', I called it quits.The clue 'Can you dig it?' led me astray, but GOLD came to me aid. SILVER and COPPER followed suit, and ANTIMONY and HEAVYMETAL were revealed in due time. But ARSENIC and BISMUTH, they put up a fight!How fared ye with today's puzzle?
