Arrr, me hearties! Listen up, for Windows 11 be addin' a new feature to its Share menu. Ye can now share links as QR codes that ye smartphone or other device can scan with ease. This be makin' the sharin' of web pages smoother, especially across different devices, me mateys.This new feature be part of a preview version, Windows 11 build 26212, for them Windows Insiders through the Canary Channel. Ye can generate QR codes for URL addresses and cloud files in the Share menu, available in most apps by clickin' the share button in the app's toolbar. Once ye generate a QR code, ye can open ye Camera app or dedicated QR scanner on ye device and hold it up to the screen to scan.
In a jolly blog post, Microsoft explains that the Share menu won't close if ye accidentally click outside of it, me hearties. Also, if ye use ye Gmail address for ye Microsoft Account, ye can now send yerself an email from the Share window to ye Gmail inbox. This development be makin' it easier to share things across devices without the need to log in or set up anything after installin' the preview build.
