Qualcomm be dreamin' of a future where its Arm chips be ruling the seas of Windows PCs, and they be swearin' this gonna happen before the decade be out. The company be talkin' a big game 'bout its new Snapdragon X chips – with Qualcomm's CEO backin' up Arm's chief in this grand prediction. Cap'n Haas of Arm be sayin' he expects Arm processors to take over 50% of the Windows PC market in five years, and in a Q&A at Computex 2024, Qualcomm's CEO be agreein' with this notion. Some OEMs be even expectin' to snatch up more of the Windows PC market share in an even shorter time. But there be a lot of what ifs and maybes in this tale. While the Copilot+ PCs might change the game with new AI features, there be no guarantee they be the future. The real battle may be in emulation and battery life. But for now, Arm takin' o'er Windows PCs be a distant horizon, and there be many challenges ahead before that dream becomes a reality.
