Avast ye, me hearties! Gather 'round as I regale ye with a tale from the far-off shores of Malaysia, where clever landlubbers known as archaeologists be diggin’ up treasures of yore! For over a year, they’ve scoured the Nenggiri Valley, unearthing a bounty of over 70,000 artifacts before the waves swallow it whole fer a hydroelectric contraption set to rise by 2027.In their quest, they stumbled upon bones that be older than Davy Jones’s locker—16,000 years old, to be precise! The scallywags found 16 skeletons buried in limestone caves, most curled up like cats on a sunny deck, a sign of ancient burial customs. One poor soul was stretched out, lookin' as if he’d just had too much grog at the tavern!
Amongst the goods left with the dearly departed were stone tools and pottery, treasures fit for a pirate's chest! Zuliskandar Ramli, the lead treasure hunter, declared, “This be the oldest skeleton in a curled position in all of Malaysia!” Aye, it be a rich find in a land soon to be lost to the depths, proving that even in death, the past clings to the land like barnacles to a ship's hull!
So raise a flagon to the brave souls who tread the soil of history before it slips beneath the waves! Yarrr!
