Arrr! The Sanxingdui treasure trove be an ancient pirate’s playground in Guanghan Town! Since the year of our Lord 1934, brave landlubbers be diggin’ for gold after stumble uponin' it in ‘29. Shiver me timbers, what a find!
Ahoy, ye merry landlubbers! Gather 'round as I spin ye a yarn 'bout the fabled Sanxingdui Ruins, a treasure trove in the wilds of Sichuan, China, that be holdin' more trinkets than a pirate's chest! Discovered in 1929 by a humble farmer whilst mendin' his sewage ditch—aye, what a find that be! Official diggin' began in '34, unleashin' a bounty of shinies upon the world!During the grand excavations of the '80s, over 1,000 artifacts sailed forth, includin' peculiar figurines and masks that would make even Davy Jones envious! But that be not all, mateys! From 2019 to 2020, six more pits yeilded another 500 treasures, like seashells and golden masks fit for a king's crown! One of these glitterin' masks be dated back to the Shang Dynasty, a sight to behold!
All told, more than 60,000 relics have been plundered from this site, claimin' its rightful spot as one of the grandest archaeological finds of the 20th century!
