Aye, he be a name lost to many a landlubber, but he steered his ship, Manatt, Phelps, and Phillips LLP, through turbulent waters after he donned the captain's hat as the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee from ’81 to ’85, tryin’ to mend the ship after the stormy seas of Jimmy Carter's reign.

With inflation and chaos akin to a pirate raid, Manatt rallied the crew to rebuild their sinking ship. He be a fine seafarer, just like his successors, who faced rough tides after thumping defeats in ‘84 and ‘88! Alas, the Democrats now be plagued by the left’s tempest, gnashing at their sails. As they prepare for another voyage, they must reckon with the scars of the past, just like ol’ Carter's legacy haunts ‘em still!

With Trump settin’ sail to build his border wall and lower taxes, the Democrats be wonderin’ if they’ll be cast away on a long voyage off the White House shores.
