Avast ye! The scurvy dog Franco of the Tampa Bay Rays has been marooned on the bench for two games! The captain, Kevin Cash, be havin' a bone to pick with his attitude and temper. Shiver me timbers!
Avast, ye scallywags! The Tampa Bay Rays be givin' their young shortstop, Wander Franco, a break from the lineup for a couple o' games. Manager Kevin Cash says it be because o' how he's been dealin' with his frustrations this season. The lad be learnin' how to be a Major League player and the challenges that come with it, but he hasn't been actin' like the best teammate. The specifics o' why he be sittin' on the bench be unknown, but it be believed to be because o' his baserunnin' lapses and not hustlin' on ground balls, among other things. He even had a verbal spat with a teammate in May. Despite this, the Rays be standin' by their young star and will continue to support him as he works through his issues. Wander be hittin' .287 with eight homers and 34 RBI's in his 318 plate appearances this season. The 22-year-old signed an 11-year, $182-million contract last year, so he's got plenty o' time to figure things out. For now, though, he'll be takin' a break from the lineup until at least Saturday. Keep yer eye on this one, me hearties!
