"Arrrr, me hearties! Ye may be saddened to hear that ol' Terry Price, our longtime shipmate on the defensive line, has passed on to Davy Jones' locker at the ripe age of 55. He spent nigh on 30 years coaching in the SEC, and the last 11 years aboard the good ship Texas A&M. Fair winds and following seas to ye, Terry!"

Ahoy mateys, sad news be coming out of Texas A&M. Terry Price, a defensive line coach for the Aggies, has passed away at the young age of 55. Price coached in the SEC for 28 years before returning to Texas A&M in 2012. He played for the Aggies from 1986-1989 under coaches Jackie Sherrill and R.C. Slocum. Price also coached at several other universities, including Western Kentucky, Ole Miss, Auburn, and Texas Tech.

Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher expressed his condolences, saying that Price was not only a great football coach and recruiter, but also a wonderful husband, father, and man. The Aggies' football program paid tribute to Price on social media, calling him a legend on and off the field.

During his coaching career, Price helped develop standout players such as Myles Garrett, who was selected No. 1 overall in the 2017 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns. Price is also credited with helping guide the late NFL linebacker Quentin Groves when he was at Auburn, and in 2020, the Aggies had the SEC's top-ranked defense with Price at the helm.

Price is survived by his wife and two sons, one of whom played wide receiver at Texas A&M and recently decided to transfer to Florida Atlantic University. Let us hold Price's family and friends in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Arrr, our football family has suffered an incredible loss.
